So many of us in Arizona love a traditional American breakfast… but what about if you want something beyond the usual bacon, eggs, and toast?
Enter The Bistro in Queen Creek.

Protein plates, BLT sandwiches, breakfast burritos, Nova Lox, and quiche are just a few of the delicious made-fresh breakfast (or brunch!) meal options you will find on the menu at this great family-owned business.
Dining options for various diets
I was here visiting with a friend that lives here in Queen Creek, and we both ordered different breakfast dishes.
One thing that makes The Bistro unique (besides the gorgeous patio seating and garden) is that they offer dining options for almost everybody — without you having to make major dish modifications to get what you want. They also provide support for lifestyle diets such as vegetarian, keto, gluten-free and vegan.
After checking out the menu board on the back wall, we ordered at the counter.

The inside of the restaurant is a comfortable size. With windows occupying much of the wall space — showing off the beautiful patio garden — this restaurant offers a great coffee-shop/garden vibe that makes a morning get-together with friends or afternoon of remote work very comfortable.
Traditional drip coffee and water are unlimited and self-serve, and you are provided with a mug for coffee should you order a coffee while dining in.
Should you order a specialty latte, tea, matcha, lemonade, or alcoholic beverage, the baristas behind the counter will carefully craft your drink of choice and deliver it to your table upon creation.
This great local breakfast and lunch spot bakes fresh muffins and cinnamon rolls too, making them a one-stop-shop for breakfast, coffee, lunch, or a midday bite to eat.
Sit inside or out
Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and The Bistro is one of the limited dog-friendly restaurants in Queen Creek. I personally always try to opt for outdoor seating at restaurants (if the temperature isn’t 115 degrees out, that is). Sitting at one of the tables by the garden is considered prime real estate!

Considering the restaurant is located in a newer strip mall in a quiet section of town, slightly off the beaten path, the garden area is particularly idyllic, and offers quite an escape from the reality of a very busy town less than a mile away.
SPEAKING OF GARDENS: Meet the prickly pear, the sweet & colorful fruit that grows on a cactus
Seating is pretty plentiful outside, and the owners have really done a great job to maximize seating without it feeling too cramped.
While taking in the sights, our breakfast plates both showed up. We took a seat, inside this time, and looked at the deliciousness that was placed before us.
My friend had a Protein Plate, a breakfast choice popular with those on the Keto diet. The platter was loaded with bacon, sliced turkey, cottage cheese, sliced tomatoes, and a halved hard-boiled egg.

I went with the Breakfast Sandwich, which included a generous helping of sliced ham, swiss cheese, scrambled eggs, and dijon aioli on a toasted baguette.
Additionally, I opted for a side of fruit. Freshly sliced pineapple and strawberries were the fruits of the day, and they complimented the sandwich so well!
A little something special to drink
When it comes to liquid refreshment, they have some delightful cocktails to pair with your breakfast choices.
Not only do they offer mimosas, but also screwdrivers, rose cocktails, and Bloody Marys. Poured to perfection, and garnished with a herb picked fresh from their patio garden, my drink was dressed up very nicely.

Great options beyond breakfast
If you are thinking of visiting The Bistro, but it’s already after breakfast, no problem — this Queen Creek eatery also has a great lunch menu that offers plenty of diversity.
For example, you can take your pick of a variety of paninis, flatbreads, grazing boards, wraps — and, of course, the traditional cold sandwiches, along with their versions of some great classic salads, such as the caprese and ceasar.
Join them until 3:00 daily for some wine and charcuterie/grazing boards, or a something like a fantastic warm grilled turkey panini coupled with a lovely lavender lemonade.
Before 2020, The Bistro in Queen Creek offered occasional wine nights and dinners. I hope that they bring back these dinners for all to enjoy, because if their evening meal is as great as their breakfast and coffee, it will not be one to miss.
